The Manhiça Tuberculosis Initiative (MTBI) is an institutional initiative committed to pioneering research, strengthening partnerships and enhancing the impact of CISM’s TB efforts through communication and advocacy activities. By doing so, it aims to contribute significantly to the global fight against tuberculosis, ultimately advancing the field towards TB elimination.
MTBI is articulated around four main pillars, namely a) Interdisciplinary research b) Engagement with the National TB Control Programme; c) Stable and long-term partnerships and d) Communication and advocacy platforms
Interdisciplinary research
Spanning diverse fields, from epidemiology to social sciences, the Manhiça Tuberculosis Initiative (MTBI) adopts a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to advancing TB research.
Engagement with Mozambique's National TB Control Program
Actively participates in collaborative initiatives, sharing resources and leveraging knowledge, with a view to strengthening and contributing to the achievement of the PNCT's objectives.
Stable academic partnerships
