Sobre o evento
World Population Day is celebrated annually on July 11th. This date was established by the United Nations (UN) in 1987, when the planet reached 5 billion inhabitants. According to UN projections, the global population will reach 8 billion people on November 15th, 2022. The objective of World Population Day, according to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is to raise awareness of population planning and development issues, when many people lack access to healthcare, food shortages, and other problems affecting the majority of the world's population.
To mark World Population Day, the Manhiça Health Research Center (CISM) and partners plan to organize a webinar entitled "Embracing the Power of Inclusive Data for a Resilient and Equitable Future for All." The webinar will bring together researchers and academics in demography and related fields, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, cooperation partners, health professionals, the general public, and the media.
