World Mosquito Day, celebrated annually on August 20th, is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of preventing mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, Zika, chikungunya, and others. This webinar aims to bring together experts, healthcare professionals, researchers, and the general public to discuss the challenges and progress in combating these diseases, especially in Mozambique, where malaria remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of mosquito control and the prevention of related diseases; to inform about mosquito-borne disease prevention practices and innovations in the field of medical entomology; and to promote media involvement in mosquito surveillance and control initiatives.
