The Manhiça Health Research Center (CISM), an entity managed by the Manhiça Foundation and which has the support of the Mozambican government and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID), marked in 2021 the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the its creation, and since then, CISM has developed following the orientation of a Bilateral Cooperation Program between both Governments. The Basic Agreement for Scientific and Technical Cooperation signed in December 1980 served as the general legal basis for bilateral cooperation relations, as well as for various complementary agreements in the areas of health, professional training, among others.

25 years after its creation, on the one hand, we would like to present the results of great impact on the community, and on the other,  the role of the community for CISM.  In this context, the Manhiça Foundation will hold a Symposium on Global Health that will mark the end of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the CISM. This will observe 2 events:

• Scientific Eventfor sharing the main results of research carried out by CISM and its impact. Thursday, April 26, 2022, at 8:15 am at Glória Hotel in Maputo
• Community eventto highlight the role it has played over these 25 years. April 27, 2022, at 9:00 am in the town of Matchiana – 3 de Fevereiro Administrative Post (District of Manhiça).
