In the reports below, published by Jornal Notícias, we see some impactful stories from the District of Quelimane and Manhiça due to the intervention of the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS) program, implemented by the Manhiça Health Research Center (CISM) and the National Institute of Health – INS , since 2015 in the District of Manhiça and 2018 in Quelimane .
CHAMPS aims to determine the causes of death in children under five years of age and prevent preventable deaths in this age group, with a view to supporting policymakers in designing the most appropriate prevention measures.
